How to Install the AttentIQ WordPress Plugin

AttentIQ Installation

AttentIQ helps you analyze user attention, optimize ad placement, and increase revenue using real behavioral data. Follow the steps below to install it properly.

Method 1 — Install from the WordPress Admin (Recommended)

Step 1: Download the Plugin

Download the AttentIQ plugin .zip file from your account dashboard.

⚠️ Do not unzip the file before uploading.

Step 2: Upload to WordPress

  • Go to WordPress Admin
  • Navigate to Plugins → Add New
  • Click Upload Plugin
  • Select the attentiq.zip file
  • Click Install Now

Step 3: Activate the Plugin

After installation, click Activate Plugin. Once activated, you will see AttentIQ in your admin sidebar.

Method 2 — Install via FTP (Advanced)

  • Unzip the plugin file.
  • Upload the attentiq folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  • Go to WP Admin → Plugins
  • Click Activate

After Activation

Once active:

  • AttentIQ automatically starts tracking page views.
  • You can access the dashboard via Admin → AttentIQ

Important: Enable License (Pro Users)

  • Go to AttentIQ → License
  • Enter your license key
  • Click Activate License

This unlocks:

  • Heatmaps
  • Smart Ad Placement
  • Advanced Decay Scoring
  • Revenue Optimization Tools

Minimum Requirements

  • WordPress 6.0+
  • PHP 7.4+
  • JavaScript enabled
  • Modern browser support

Troubleshooting

Plugin Not Appearing After Activation?

Go to Settings → Permalinks → Save Changes. This refreshes rewrite rules.

White Screen or Error?

  • Enable WP Debug in wp-config.php
  • Check error logs
  • Make sure no other optimization plugin is blocking scripts

Does AttentIQ slow down my site?

No. AttentIQ loads lightweight tracking scripts and uses asynchronous processing to avoid blocking page load.

Does it work with page builders?

Yes. AttentIQ works with Gutenberg, Elementor, WPBakery, and most modern themes.

Does it track logged-in admins?

No. Admin users are excluded from analytics to prevent data skewing.
